Igor Gurskiy is coming off the best result of his career after finishing in 11th place in the recent Merit World Cup of Poker held at this very casino. Here he is clashing with his fellow Russian, Sergey Vasilyev, who had three WPT cashes during Season XI, including a 28th place finish at this event last year.

Vasilyev opens the action to 150 – before receiving a reminder that the min-raise must be 200. So 200 it is and there is one caller before Gurskiy squeezes to 800 on the button; both players call and we head to a flop.

Flop: [6s] [6h] [5h]

The action checks to Gurskiy who bets 1,100 and only Vasilyev makes the call.

Turn: [Tc]

Checkity-check

River: [Kd]

Vasilyev check-calls a 1,600 Gurskiy bet and when the hands are overturned the spoils are shared, as each player shows ace-king.
