Who Will be Crowned Champion of the 2020 WPTDeepStacks Philippines Main Event?

Feb 16, 2020

Christos Vlahos

The lion’s share of the PHP 22,523,400 ($445,513) prize pool will be up for grabs when the final nine players out of a 344-entry strong field return to their seats at the final table in The Coral Room at 1 p.m. local time, and Australia’s Christos Vlahos is in the driver’s seat with a stack of 2,105,000.

Kunwoo Kim, one of two South Koreans that reached the final table, sits in second place with 1,695,000 while three local players aim to keep the trophy on home soil: David Erquiaga (1,440,000), Rogel Del Rosario (1,385,000), and Mark Dela Cruz (1,200,000). For Erquiaga, there is also another huge incentive to finish as high as possible, as a second place would net him the lead in the Season 18 WPT Asia-Pacific leaderboard.

All further finalists have fewer than one million in chips at their disposal including Dimitar Blazhev (850,000), Ryo Naito (600,000), Vikaash Shah (595,000) and Jongjun Park (450,000).
