Who Will Reach the Final Table of the 2020 WPTDeepStacks Philippines Main Event?

As of 1 p.m. local time, the 79 survivors out of a 344 entry strong field in the 2020 WPTDeepStacks Philippines PHP75,000 Main Event will return to their seats in The Coral Room at the stunning five-star Okada Manila resort.

The first goal of the day is reaching the top 43 spots to ensure a portion of the PHP 22,523,400 ($445,513) prize pool and from there on out, all eyes will be set on reaching the final table for tomorrow’s big showdown here in the Philippines.

Leading the field into the penultimate tournament day is Bulgaria’s Zheko Dinev with a stack of 387,000, followed by Jaeho Kim (312,000), Christopher Mateo (310,500), and Christos Vlahos (306,000) as only players to earn more than ten times the starting stack of 30,000 thus far.

Other notables with big stacks include Julien Weymouth (290,000), 2016 WPT National Philippines runner-up Markus Garberg (247,500), Kunwoo Kim (239,000), Daniel Holmedahl (204,000), Simen Gulbrandsen (199,500), Sean Ragozzini (194,000), and Graeme Siow (175,500).

Two players have the chance to take over the top spot in the Season 18 WPT Asia-Pacific Player of the Year race as David Erquiaga (189,500), as well as Si Yang Phua (80,000), both advanced to Day 2. The top 30 finishers earn points towards the leaderboard with at least one more stop in Taiwan at the end of May 2020 scheduled.

As of Day 2 and until the heads-up stage of the Main Event, the level duration increases to 60 minutes each and the blinds will recommence at 1,500-3,000 with a big blind ante of 3,000.
