Seitaro Aso Wins 6-Max Event at the 2020 WPT Philippines

The 2020 WPT Philippines festival has kicked off on February 6th and nearly a dozen tournaments have determined their champion so far. Brett Kennedy, Paul Mccabe, Xin Lin and Konstantinis Misailidis earned trophies and Denmark’s Michael Falcon, who resides on the Philippines, also posed for a winner shot already.

The latest tournament to finish was the PHP 55,000 (~US$ 1,100) 6-Max Event which drew a total of 80 entries and saw the top 10 spots take home a portion of the PHP 3,880,000 (~$76,700)) prize pool. With Terry Gonzaga and Mike Takayama, two well-known local players were the first to bust in the money and they were joined on the rail by Ryan McAllister, Christos Vlahos, Season 18 WPT Asia Pacific of the Year contender Hamish Crawshaw and Sven McDermott.

In heads-up, Seitaro Aso from Japan emerged victoriously against fellow countryman and mixed game specialist Iori Yogo for a payday of PHP 1,320,000 (~$26,130) while Yogo had to settle for PHP 757,000 (
