The cards are all but rushed away and Vincent Chauve leaves his chair, then explains in French to Somuchpoker and other French players that he “slow-played ace-king in the big blind, but it would have gotten in anyways.”

Ping Liu confirms that Chauve had busted against Linh Tran, who is now among the chip leaders.

According to Liu, Tran raises to 11,000 with pocket sevens and Chauve flats in the big blind. Chauve check-raises a flop from 10,000 to 35,000 and gets called before check-raising the turn from 40,000 to 115,000. Tran jams and Chauve is priced in to call with top pair and top kicker but is already drawing dead.
