Catalin Pop Folds Top Two Pair on the River to Adedapo Ajayi

Samuel Gagnon min-raises hj to 40,000, and Catalin Pop calls from the small blind. Adedapo Ajayi is in the big blind watching the Georgia-Florida college football game on a TV just above their table, and as the action reaches him he sees Georgia score a touchdown to make it 16-3. Ajayi’s reaction clearly shows that he is rooting for Florida.

Ajayi calls the 40,000, saying it’s a “tilt call.”

The flop comes , both blinds check, and Gagnon bets 50,000. Pop calls, and Ajayi check-raises to 250,000. Gagnon folds, and Pop thinks for a while before he calls.

The turn card is the , Pop bets 380,000, and Ajayi asks if he has any more big chips (100Ks) in his stack. Pop does not, and his remaining stack is worth about 575,000. Ajayi uses a Time Chip to tank for about 45 seconds before he calls.

The river card is the , Pop checks, and Ajayi uses one of his Time Chips to tank for nearly a minute before he moves all in.

Pop thinks for a bit before he folds face up — top two pair. Ajayi takes the pot.
