WPT Montreal Festival at Playground

Welcome to Playground in Kahnawake, Quebec, for Day 1B of the CA$500,000 guaranteed WPTDeepStacks Montreal in partnership with partypoker LIVE, and as part of the Season XVIII WPT Montreal Festival.

The WPT Montreal Festival sees three major WPT tournaments on offer with WPT500 Montreal, WPT Montreal, and WPTDeepStacks Montreal each taking center stage throughout the festival. WPT500 Montreal attracted a total of 2,134 entrants with Toronto-native Bradley Smith collecting the CA$140,000 first-place prize before the Season XVIII WPT Montreal Main Event became the focal point. The WPT Montreal Main Event is currently onto Day 2 and play will continue until the money is reached.

The WPTDeepStacks Montreal is the concluding event of the festival and features a CA$1,650 buy-in and three starting flights along with a CA$500,000 guarantee. Last year, 896 entrants created a prize pool of CA$1,299,680 that paid the top 111 players. David Quang would collect the CA$222,000 first-place prize that also included the WPT500 Montreal runner-up from a few days earlier; Said El-Yousfi.

Day 1A played out on Friday and saw a total of 149 entries take to the felt. Once the dust settled after 14 levels of play, Patrick Eskandar would finish as the chip leader with 442,200 as just 26 players remained. Some of the notables surviving into Day 3 include Jordan Westmorland, Jiachen Gong, Francois Billard, Jake Schwartz, and WPT Champions Club members Tony Sinishtaj, David Larson, and Tony Tran.

WPTDeepStacks Montreal Structure and Schedule
There will be three Day 1 flights spread across two days at Playground. Each day will see players begin with 30,000 in starting chips and play fourteen 40-minute levels with a 15-minute break after every three levels. There will be unlimited re-entries allowed.

Day 1B of WPTDeepStacks Montreal will see registration close at the start of Level 10 (approximately 6:45 p.m. ET), and Day 1C will and 5 p.m. (ET).
