After a flop of Diamond QDiamond 10Heart 2 with 21,000 already in the pot, Matt Vaughan checks the big blind, Richard Ray bets 12,000 from middle position, and Vaughan check-raises all in.

Ray thinks for a little bit before he calls all in for 109,000 with Spade AHeart A for an overpair. Vaughan turns over Diamond ADiamond 7 for a diamond flush draw, and Ray needs his hand to hold to stay alive.

The turn card is the Club A, the river card is the Spade 9, and Ray turns a set of aces to win the pot and double up in chips.

Richard Ray  –  239,000  (40 bb)
Matt Vaughan  –  230,000  (38 bb)

After the hand, Vaughan smiles and says, “Why couldn’t you have had kings?”
