Sorel Mizzi opens to 120,000 from the cutoff and Patrick Serda three-bets the button to 375,000.

From the big blind, Pierre-Paul Paulin (pictured) moves all in for 1,475,000 and Mizzi folds. Serda asks for a count, and when Paulin’s stack is cut down, Serda calls.

Serda: Diamond ADiamond 8
Paulin: Club AClub 6

Paulin is the slight underdog, but when the dealer spreads the Spade KClub 4Diamond 6 flop, he takes the lead.

Serda would need to find an eight or running cards for a flush or straight, and when the Diamond J lands on the turn, he now can catch any eight or diamond to collect the pot.

The dealer burns and turns the Diamond 9 on the river, and Serda makes the nut flush to eliminate Paulin in seventh place for a C$135,500 payday.

Patrick Serda – 8,260,000
Pierre-Paul Paulin – Eliminated in 7th Place (C$135,500)
