Fernandez on Top After Level Three

Quad Tour near Marrakech
What to do in Morocco? A tour with Quads in the desert comes to mind.

The third level of Day 1B has come to an end, and there are 124 players out of 133 entries remaining. It appears that Spains “Fernandez” is the current chip leader with three times the starting stack and his table previously included Rakesh Lalwani, who exited the tournament area just before the first break of the day with the words “aces versus kings, as usual.”

Another name that stands out in the field is Portugal’s Henrique Pinho, who has several decent results here in Marrakech. Pinho added a victory in the 20,000 MAD High Roller to his poker resume after cutting a three-way deal and started well into Day 1B of the Main Event as well.

In a recent hand against Alexander Kelch, he flops top pair with Heart QHeart 10 and gets paid to rake in a nice pot. Kelch, not as happy in table chat, shot back some “game advice” and Pinho collected the chips with a smile on the face.

The players are now on their first 15-minute break of the day.

Fernandez – 90,000
Henrique Pinho – 40,000
Sofian Benaissa – 32,000
Rakesh Lalwani – Eliminated
