Frenchman Guillaume Diaz Wants More WPTs in Europe

We caught up with Frenchman Guillaume Diaz on Day 2 of the WPT European Championship €3,300 Main Event. Diaz explained that he’s been having a great time at the event, held at the Spielbank Casino in central Berlin.

“There’s just great organisation here,” said Diaz, “The place is really cool; the location, everything.

“Everything is good!”

After securing his seat on Day 2, we asked Diaz if he had the opportunity to explore Berlin yesterday.

“For sure! I went to the Spy Museum and I’m going to Checkpoint Charlie and explore all the cool sites.”

The Frenchman’s poker resume is full of European cashes, and he wants to see more WPT Main Events take place in Europe.

“It would definitely be cool. It should work for sure. There’s the demand in Europe; in France and Spain. For the WPT they should definitely come more often!”
