Several Players Jam Up Their Stack

Jan 12, 2018

While the registration period will soon come to an end, several players are trying to boost their stack and get the chips in preflop. Not all of them are getting called, though, and Philipp Lutkemeier, Simon Boss and Jamie Sykes all chipped up without showdown.

Lutkemeier faced a raise to 2,100 and two callers including Maxi Lehmanski before three-betting to 11,000 out of the big blind. Only the initial raiser called, but quickly folded when Lutkemeier shoved for 17,000 on the Spade 9Spade 5Diamond 5 flop.

Boss raised and Kalidou Sow’s three-bet to 5,700 in the small blind quickly triggered the four-bet shove by the Swiss, who forced a fold from Sow. “I was gonna call, but figured you would do that,” the player in the big blind admitted.

Last but not least, Sykes check-shoved a three-way flop of Heart AHeart 6Diamond 5 out of the big blind for 26,600. Ronny Stecher was one of the two opponents that invested 4,200 only to fold against the aggression of Sykes.

Jamie Sykes – 45,000
Philipp Lutkemeier – 43,000
Simon Boss – 40,000
Kalidou Sow – 30,000
