Oceanside Spotlight: Sunset Farmers Market and Oceanside Pier

Each and every Thursday night Main Street in Oceanside hosts the Sunset Market, with a collection of great food, merchandise, and live entertainment. The event started in August 2007 and quickly became a favorite in the community. The WPTDeepStacks live reporting team got to check out the Sunset Market and Oceanside Pier during dinner break on Day 1A, and you can take a visual tour of the festivities below. It was a straight shot down to the Oceanside Pier from the Sunset Market, so we walked out on the pier to watch the sunset and the surfers in the Pacific Ocean below. The pier is 1,954 feet long and it opened in 1888. And as is tradition for Southern California piers, there is a Ruby’s Diner at the end of the Oceanside Pier.
