Pedro Silva Extends His Chip Lead

Mario Milhoes limped in the cutoff and Cesario Andrade called in the small blind. Pedro Silva (pictured above) raised in the big blind to 6,000 and both his opponents called and saw a flop of Club JDiamond KDiamond Q.

Cesario checked, Silva bet 11,500 and Milhoes called. Cesario folded.

The turn was the Club 3 and Silva bet 11,000 and Milhoes called again.

The river was the Heart 9. Silva moved all in.

Milhoes went into the tank talking aloud to himself. Our Portugese colleagues translated.

“Boy, since I got to this table I’ve already lost 80,000 f*cking chips. Same luck, same luck…”

After thinking a little more, Milhoes folded and Silva turned over X KX 10.

“I’ve always been ahead!” said Silva, “I have King-Ten and you had a Queen.” Milhoes didn’t turn over his cards and Silva added to his stack which is well in excess of 200,000 chips.
