Daniel Negreanu Busts, Re-Enters, and Remains Active

Dec 5, 2016

Daniel Negreanu busted again, and immediately re-entered to find himself in the seat recently vacated by Jennifer Tilly. And Negreanu continues to be active.

Robin Hegele raises UTG+1 to 400, Negreanu reraises from middle position to 2,000, and Hegele calls. The flop comes Spade KHeart KClub 5, Hegele checks, Negreanu bets 2,000, and Hegele calls.

The turn card is the Spade 2, Hegele checks, Negreanu bets 6,000, and Hegele calls. The river card is the Heart J, and both players check.

Negreanu shows Spade QSpade 10 for queen high (missed his spade flush), and Hegele turns over Diamond KDiamond Q to win the pot with trip kings.

Daniel Negreanu  –  20,000  (133 bb)

After the hand, Negreanu comments on his own active play and the unlimited re-entries available, saying, “This is going to be a $100K tournament for me.”

A short while later, after a flop of Spade ASpade 8Spade 2, a player is all in from middle position for about 9,000 with Diamond ADiamond Q (pair of aces). Negreanu has him covered from the small blind with Spade 10Heart 8 (pair of eights, spade flush draw).

The turn card is the Club A, the river card is the Spade K — the short stack turns trip aces, but Negreanu rivers a spade flush to win the pot and eliminate his opponent.
