Daniel Tang Eliminated in 2nd Place ($130,263)

May 23, 2016

Daniel TangAndrew Jankowski had dropped a little, from leading heads-up with 21 million, he was down to 18m against 8.6m at the start of the hand. Jankowski looked as though he wanted a quick end to proceedings and came up with what would turn out to be the fateful final play in an amazing hand of poker!

After the pair of players went to a flop of Heart 8Diamond 3Diamond 6, Jankowski made an astonishing all-in move with Spade AClub 2 against Daniel Tang’s  Heart 10Club 8. Tang was an 87% favorite to win the hand, and he looked in pain to try and make the call, but he did so! Going for the chip lead, he was visibly staggered when the turn came an Diamond A and the river Spade Q ended the tournament!

After a brief but incredible end to the tournament, Andrew Jankowski has done it – he qualified for a single cent on partypoker, and now, 3 fabulous days of tournament poker later, he has $195,000 (including a £2,200 WPT Main Event seat). Daniel Tang must console himself with the fact that at the death he was incredibly unlucky….and that he has cashed for $130,263 – the best cash of his poker career!
