Van Putten v Kavrakov

May 11, 2015

We join the action with the dealer scraping a significant number of chips into his bosom, and preparing to deal the flop. From our vantage point we can tell that Atanas Kavrakov has squeezed out a four-bet of 6,500, from the blinds, and the original three-bettor, Jasper Meijer van Putten, has made the call.

Flop: Aspade 3club 2spade

Kavrakov c-bets to 6,000, and van Putten makes the call.

Turn: Aclub

The shade-wearing Kavrakov taps the felt, van Putten bets 5,000, and Kavrakov makes the call.

River: Qspade

Kavrakov checks once more. van Putten moves all-in. Kavrakov removes his sunglasses, and asks for a count. It’s 8,600. A few minutes pass without Kavrakov making a decision. Eventually, someone calls the clock, and he folds with one second remaining from the count. The chips head to van Putten.

Van Putten ~ 45,000
