The $5 million guaranteed Season XIII WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown kicked off on Thursday with Day 1A of the Main Event. A total of 502 entries took to the felt and after 10 levels of play, 182 players punched their tickets to Day 2.
Leading the Day 1A bunch is Barry Hutter with 305,700. Also bagging big stacks were Danny Shiff (213,300), Eliyahu Levy (210,100), Michael Wang (207,900), Luis Santoni (184,500), Vladimir Dobrovolskiy (182,900), Ty Reiman (182,400), Jake Schindler (181,700), Daniel Demissie (179,800), and Champions Club member Brian Altman (170,100).
Others notables who survived include Sunny Patel (161,600), Chance Kornuth (159,500), Champions Club member Darren Elias (150,000), Faraz Jaka (149,900), Dan Heimiller (146,800), Chris Bolek (141,200), Champions Club member Matt Waxman (138,500), BLUFF.com WPT Ones to Watch Daniel Strelitz (126,300), Champions Club member and current Hublot POY points leader Anthony Zinno (93,600), defending champion Eric Afriat (62,000), and DraftKings Qualifer Joey Weissman 57,100).
Among those who failed to survive the day include Shannon Shorr, Aaron Massey, Vanessa Selbst, Loni Harwood, Zo Karim, BLUFF.com Ones to Watch Kristy Arnett, and Champions Club members Ravee “Om” Mathi Sundar, Jared Jaffee, Kevin Eyster, and Keven Stammen.
