Justin Zaki Eliminated by Yaron Wasserman

Feb 5, 2015

Chipleader Allen Kessler has been at a very active table with a lot of big hands and big pots.

Yaron Wasserman raises under the gun to 1,000, another player calls from middle position, the hijack calls, the button calls, and WPT “Ones to Watch” Justin Zaki moves all in from the big blind for 5,675.

Wasserman calls, the middle-position player calls, and the hijack moves all in over the top for about 50,000.

The button folds, and Wasserman calls all in for 29,275. The middle-position player tanks for a while before he folds, claiming he had ace-queen.

Here are the players’ cards in descending order of chip counts:

Hijack:  9diamond9spade
Yaron Wasserman:  Aspade10heart
Justin Zaki:  Aheart9club

The board comes Kheart10spade7spade8spade8diamond — Wasserman pairs his ten on the flop, the hijack turns a straight-flush draw, and the river is a brick. Wasserman wins the entire pot with two pair, tens and eights, eliminating Justin Zaki in the process.

Yaron Wasserman  –  71,000  (177 bb)
Justin Zaki  –  Eliminated
