Two Unlikely Chopped Pots

Apr 22, 2009

Boris Becker is all in preflop with K-K, and he dominates Sinan Yoyen’s J-J. But the board comes A-Q-Q-A-Q, putting a full house on the board that beats both of their hands — it’s a chopped pot.

Less than a minute later, at another table, Eric Liu moves all in under the gun with [AcKs], and Steve Billirakis calls with [9d9s]. Liu takes the lead with two pair on a flop of [AhKcQs], but the turn is the [10d], the river is the [Jd], and both players chop the pot with an ace-high straight on the board.

Two very unlikely chopped pots happening almost simultaneously at neighboring tables — the odds of that are extremely slim.
