Hand #72: Jonathan Kantor Takes a Big Pot Against Hoyt Corkins

Jan 27, 2010

Jerry Vanstrydonck raises from the button to 60,000, Hoyt Corkins reraises from the small blind to 240,000, and Jonathan Kantor tanks from the big blind for more than a minute before he calls. Vanstrydonck folds.

The flop comes [Kd5s4h], Hoyt bets 300,000, and Kantor thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls. The turn card is the [6c], Hoyt checks, and Kantor quickly moves all in. Hoyt thinks for about 30 seconds before he asks for an exact count — it’s 1,227,000.

Hoyt Corkins tanks for about five minutes with the entire arena in near silence. At the end of it all, he folds, and Jonathan Kantor takes the pot.
