WPT Choctaw

The total field size for the inaugural WPT Choctaw event is up to 1,143 entries, and registration remains open until the start of Day 2 tomorrow. There will also be a $530 Last-Chance Turbo satellite tomorrow morning at 7:00 am. It’s not too late!

There were 119 survivors from yesterday’s Day 1A, and another 209 made it thru Day 1B today. That means there will be 328 players returning for Day 2, along with any last-minute registrations and satellite winners.

There were 12 members of the WPT Champions Club who played on Day 1B, and unofficially, it appears that they all survived to Day 2. The top chip stacks from this group were Andy Hwang (271,100), Carlos Mortensen (163,600), and Matt Salsberg (161,400).

The overall chipleader from Day 1B was Anthony Spinella, who bagged up 327,000. That’s not quite enough to catch Day 1A leader Terry Presley, who will be the big stack on Day 2 with 344,400.

Day 2 begins Sunday at 12:00 noon CT. Return to WPT.com for continuing live updates of all the action.
