Tournament Rules
Action Clock:
The Action Clock will be put into play on each Day 1 at the conclusion of level 15. Each player will receive four (4) time extensions when the Action Clock is put into play. Each player will receive four (4) additional time extension chips at the start of Day 2. Each player will receive four (4) additional time extension chips when twenty-four (24) players remain. Each player will receive four (4) additional time extension chips when nine (9) players remain. See Action Clock rules for details. Time extension chips will accumulate and not be reset. See additional Action Clock Rules for more details.
Ante Format (Big Blind Ante):
Single ante will be posted by the player in the big blind, in the amount equivalent to the big blind. Ante is posted before the big blind and players are eligible to collect the entire ante, even when out of the big blind. The full ante is maintained until the completion of the tournament.
Breaks:
40 Minute levels: Players will have a 15-minute break every 3 levels.
60 Minute levels: Players will have a 15-minute break every 2 levels.
Day 1 flights will be provided a 45 minute dinner break after level 9. Day 2 TBD.
Buy-In & Fees:
$1,000 +$150.
Late Registration:
Registration will close at the start of Level 10 on each Day 1.
Levels, Per Day:
Day 1: 40 minutes per level until the field reaches the money (12.5%).
Day 2: 60 minutes per level until approximately 5% of the field is reached.
Day 3: 60 minutes per level until the final (6) players are reached.
Final Table: 60 minutes per level until two (2) players remain,
30-minute levels thereafter.
The Final Table of 6 will be televised.
Payouts:
One in eight (1-in-8) entries will be in the money (approximately 12.5%). WPT® Calculator will be used.
Players Per Table:
Day 1’s will play 9-handed.
Day 2 onward will play 8-handed, space permitting.
In the event that Day 2 begins 9-handed, tables will be balanced to accommodate 8-
handed play at the Tournament Director’s discretion.
The Final Table is 6-handed.
Players Card & Players Releases:
In order to play in the event, each player must sign the WPT Player Release Form and have the Playground Rewards Card.
Registration & Re-Entry Rules:
If a player entered into any starting day and has been eliminated from the tournament, the player may re-enter or register for a subsequent starting day. If there are multiple bags, the lower stack can be forfeited, resulting in a minimum payout (if applicable).
Rules:
All players at WPT events are solely responsible for retrieving their winnings from the host casino or poker room and the payment of any taxes or fees on such winnings requested by the host casino or poker room. Any question or dispute regarding winnings at a WPT event should be brought up directly with the host casino or poker room, which has sole responsibility therefore. WPT is not responsible for any tournament event details including, without limitation, structures, schedules, formats, general rules or prize pool distributions. Management reserves the right to change tournament dates or suspend or cancel tournaments, in whole or part, without notice for any reason at any time. Participation in WPT tournaments is subject to rules and rulings set forth by the applicable venue(s) and/or WPT (e.g., tournament rules, sponsorships).
Seating Redraws:
A redraw will occur at the conclusion of each Day 1. The final redraws will take place at 24, 16, and 9 players during the normal course of play.
