Scott Fischman first began playing poker when he moved to Las Vegas in 1992. He was introduced to the game by the grandson of a former World Series of Poker champion, and he immediately fell into a group of friends who all enjoyed the nuances of the game. He became a poker dealer at The Mirage when he turned 21 so as to soak up as much information about the game from the dealer's perspective, but the onset of rheumatoid arthritis curtailed his experience in that realm of the game. Not one to let a physical disability stop him, Scott began playing Internet poker to hone his skills. The group of friends with whom he played became known as "The Crew" and began to take the world of poker by storm. Taking his online poker knowledge to the actual green felt was almost too natural for Scott, and he fell right into a line of winning players. With cashes in a number of poker tournaments under his belt, he built a bankroll that he took to the 2004 WSOP. A dream for many years came true when Scott won his first bracelet that year in the $1500 no-limit hold'em event, taking home $300,000 and a priceless title. Only days later, he achieved a huge feat and won his second bracelet in a row, this one in the $2000 H.O.R.S.E. event. He became the youngest person to do so, and he gained immense respect from the poker world " pros and fans alike " not only for setting the record but for winning a H.O.R.S.E. tournament that showed his incredible diversity and ability to conquer a variety of games. Scott came close to winning a third bracelet in 2005 but finished second in the $1500 no-limit hold'em event, though he continues to reach for that third title each year. In the meantime, he keeps adding to his long list of tournament cashes, which include several money finishes in World Poker Tour events, the best being eight place in the 2007 $25,000 WPT World Championship event, just missing the TV table by two players. He collected nearly $250,000 for his efforts there, and the poker world has only seen the beginning of Scott, his ever-increasing bankroll, and his impressive knowledge of the game.
