Mena Suvari is best known for her breakout performance in the Academy Award winning American Beauty. This diminutive dynamo hasn't stopped since, and has added fans with forays into TV, most notably with a recurring role in the HBO hit, Six Feet Under. Born in Newport, RI, Mena was the fourth child in her family, but the first girl, and was named after an Egyptian godmother. Starting in commercials at the age of 12, she segued into a brief modeling career with the prestigious Wilhelmina agency, before coming to Hollywood. Once there, she worked regularly until landing a career starting role in the hit American Pie. Mena is married to cinematographer Robert Brinkman. Although she only started playing poker last year, she's a quick study.
